Brand identity and menu design for HOME Bar & Kitchen at HOME Manchester including seasonal menus, signage and environmental graphics.

HOME Bar & Kitchen is part of HOME Manchester, one of the city’s leading contemporary arts, theatre and film venues. The space functions as both a public-facing hospitality environment and an extension of HOME’s wider cultural programme, requiring a flexible and evolving visual identity.

The rebrand spans menu systems, promotional materials, signage, outdoor graphics and a range of seasonal and campaign-led communications. This includes multiple sub-brand applications, from main food and drinks menus through to bar-specific collateral and event-driven printed materials.

A key part of the project has been building a design system capable of evolving over time. With 3–4 seasonal menu updates per year, the identity needed to remain consistent while allowing for variation in tone, colour and application across different cycles of programming and hospitality use.

Large-scale floor-to-ceiling poster installations were developed for interior walls, extending the brand identity into immersive environmental graphics that shape the visitor experience within the space.

The work also extends into environmental and spatial branding, including outdoor signage, wayfinding, planters, promotional displays and branded assets such as a Citroën coffee van. Custom photography direction, typography systems and colour palettes were developed to ensure consistency across both print and physical environments.

The result is an adaptable identity system that balances cultural credibility with hospitality functionality, reflecting HOME’s position as both a creative institution and a public social space.
