This body of work was created for Arts Council England, supporting the design and production of evidence reports, independent reviews, presentation templates, worksheets and detailed infographic systems used across digital and published formats.

The work focused on transforming dense, information-heavy documents into clear, structured and accessible publications that align with strict accessibility standards, brand governance and public sector communication requirements. Many of the outputs were published digitally via the Arts Council England website, with selected reports also referenced in wider media coverage including The Guardian.

My role included typesetting, editorial layout, cover design, data visualisation and infographic development, as well as creating flexible template systems for presentations and internal reporting. Each document required careful attention to hierarchy, readability and navigation, ensuring that complex research and evaluation findings could be understood by diverse audiences, including stakeholders, practitioners and the general public.

A key focus of the work was accessibility-led design. This included structuring content to meet digital accessibility requirements, maintaining clear typographic hierarchy, ensuring sufficient contrast and legibility, and designing layouts that worked across both screen and print formats. Consistency across document families was essential, particularly where reports formed part of ongoing research programmes or multi-year evaluations.

Alongside report design, I developed presentation systems and worksheet formats that extended the visual language into more interactive and workshop-based contexts. Infographic design played a central role in distilling complex datasets into clear, digestible visual summaries that supported communication of impact, outcomes and sector insights.

The resulting design system balances clarity with flexibility, supporting Arts Council England’s need for authoritative, research-driven communication while maintaining approachability and visual coherence across a wide range of publication types.
