Micah Purnell is an award-winning graphic designer, creative director, artist and author based in Manchester. His work spans books, brands, campaigns and public space, creating concept-led communication that is clear, memorable and human.
For more than 25 years, he has collaborated with cultural institutions, charities, universities, public bodies and commercial organisations. Projects range from editorial and book design to brand identity, advertising, public messaging and large-scale public art.
Working independently and with a trusted network of illustrators, photographers, animators, writers and developers, projects can scale from individual publications to national campaigns.

Experience
Micah Purnell’s practice is grounded in studio craft and applied commercial production, shaped by more than two decades of independent practice and earlier agency experience. He holds a BA (Hons) in Visual Art & Culture and completed specialist graphic design and advertising training focused on applied creative practice.
His work sits across the arts, culture and charity sectors alongside national and international commissions.
